Graduation from an accredited high school or achievement of a GED is required. Three years of full time, wage-earning experience in general clerical/secretarial duties is required. Must type 45 net words per minute, with no more than ten errors, on the appropriate Texas Workforce Commission or TDCJ typing test is required. A minimum of 55 net words per minute is preferred.

Provide secretarial support to the Human
Resources department. Responsible for
substitute teachers, alternative and probationary teacher certifications, and liaison
with Career and Technology Education (CTE) administration regarding industry
certifications. Assist with incoming calls for the WSD administration building, take
reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff or department.
Assist with benefits and leaves.
Support and assist all employment transactions in TxEIS and TimeClock. Responsible for all substitute teacher transactions.
Assist the Human Resources Department Administrator with employment screening. Responsible for imaging Human Resources termination folders. Responsible for electronic filing.
Assist with non-teacher boards.
Assist with position management in TxEIS.
Assist the NCIC/TCIC background clearances.
Liaison with academic alternative certification entities.
Liaison with vocational teacher probationary certification entities.
Responsible for annual TEA principal survey for new teachers.
Responsible for coordinating
with CTE administrators regarding vocational teacher industry certifications.
Maintain confidentiality in
handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.
Perform duties in a
professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at location of work
Follow Windham School
District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties. Execute duties ina professional, ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter
247, Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
