Success Story posters on campuses

New WSD success story posters are being displayed in schools across the state to encourage students to make education, employment skills, self-esteem and positive change a permanent part of their lives.

This set of posters highlights the accomplishments of a new set of former students who have built successful lives following release from TDCJ. You may recognize their profiles from WSD's 2014-2015 Annual Performance Report, newsletter and website – along with appearances in The ECHO.

The former offenders who willingly shared their testimonies did so hoping that current offenders, as well as the public, would know the truth about correctional education and become motivated participants and supporters of WSD and other rehabilitative programs. WSD thanks Charlie Morris, Tina Harryman, Pablo Gonzales, Guillermo Almendarez, Candelario Davila, Jose Sanchez and Johnathan Granados for sharing their personal challenges and triumphs.
