Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) required. Must hold a Texas State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Mid-Management or Administrator for Principal Certificate or be eligible for the Probationary Principal Certificate and Texas teacher certification. Three years teaching experience. Windham School District experience preferred.

Understanding and ability to use teacher development research. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Major Responsibilities & Duties:
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Perform teaching duties and responsibilities. Represent the campus as needed at departmental/campus/district meetings. Assist with ongoing teacher support and training efforts. Assist with campus student discipline. Observe and evaluate teachers at the direction of the principal. Assist teachers in the evaluation of student data and create effective instructional responses for deficiencies. Assists in the supervision of all formal testing programs. Assist in program assessment to determine quality and effectiveness. Provide staff development activities at the direction of the principal designed for professional growth and to address the needs of teachers. Maintain accurate attendance records in a manner consistent with WSD. Assist in the hiring process as directed and in compliance with all related laws and policies. Establish and maintain open communication with teachers and unit staff. Use effective communication skills to present information accurately and clearly. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of job duties. Perform duties in a professional manner through daily, punctual attendance at location of work assignment. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.
