Positive Behaviors Intervention and Support (PBIS) Initiative brings WSD and TDCJ together in an interagency collaboration
WSD's Title I department began implementation of PBIS with Dr. Scheuermann from Texas State University in an effort to study the effects of the PBIS framework in increasing desired behaviors in individuals under the age of 22. PBIS methods are designed to increase an individual's potential to access education and other opportunities as they transition through confinement and beyond. The PBIS Initiative brought together WSD and TDCJ in an interagency collaboration toward these goals.
