Information from Windham School District: COVID-19 Update

The Windham School District (WSD) continues to closely monitor developments and communications related to the CoronaVirus (COVID-19). This includes information being released by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Governor’s Office, the Texas Department of Health Services (TDHS) and direct communication with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).

As each of you are likely aware, there have been cases of COVID-19 reported in Texas; however, there has not been an indication of COVID-19 in any TDCJ facility.

To ensure the health and safety of employees and residents, TDCJ and WSD have taken steps related to emergency preparedness.

As of March 20, 2020, employees are working remotely and coordinating delivery of services and instructional materials to include access to library books with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. This includes the ability to complete Parole voted programs.
