On-the-Job Training
Windham also offers On-the-Job Training (OJT). The OJT program allows students to work in approved Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) jobs for a minimum of six months under the supervision of a skilled Texas Department of Criminal Justice employee.
During their time in the OJT program, students learn important job expectations, industry culture and trade skills they can apply to their desired career fields. Once all requirements have been completed, students earn their OJT certificate, enhancing their employability upon returning to their communities.
